Hotel-Café' t Anker is a family hotel, located in a quiet street in the heart of the monumental city of Leeuwarden.

The hotel has 23 standard *** and low-budget * rooms, which can accommodate up to 60 people. There is a wide variety of room types, which means that there are accommodation options available for almost everyone and at the most competitive prices for Leeuwarden.

For a long time these very affordable prices always included breakfast, WiFi, made up beds, towels, daily cleaning and everything you need for a comfortable overnight stay. But as of 2018 it is now also possible to choose a price option without breakfast. Once checked in you’ll have the possibility to go in and out the hotel at any time. All rooms are equipped with high-speed wireless internet.

The standard rooms are equipped with extra comfort, including private bathrooms.
The low-budget rooms have basic facilities and the shower and toilet are located outside the room on the same floor.

The shared showers and toilets are only made available to a maximum of 5 guests. You therefore will not have to wait too long to use the shower.
We also have a group accommodation, a dormitory which offers space for groups up to 16 people.
The old Dutch cafe / restaurant is an excellent location for your aperitif, lunch, dinner or for socializing until "late hours". The hotel café also has a pool table and is linked to a 100 years old pool association.

Thanks to the great location of the hotel you will be at the perfect starting point to explore the city of Leeuwarden.

The hotel offers 2 different options for parking: 

The first option is the private parking. You can reserve a parking space in our private parking garage which is located 75 meters away from the hotel, for a price of only 12 euros per night. (wntrance from 1pm-valid until 12 pm max on your departure day). There is also an affordable public parking space for long stays located 300 meters away from the hotel.
Maximum cost per day (up to 24 hours),  4.00 € a day from Monday to Sundays.

For your bike we have a large indoor bicycle storage. We also offer the possibility to rent bicycles.
For more than 55 years the hotel-café has been visited by: business relations, travelers for multi-day holidays or transit, students, families, groups, staff outings, sports teams, etc.

Many sights, activities are within walking distance. For example, Stadhouderlijk Hof, Fries Museum, Princessehof, Natuurmuseum Fryslân (Nature Museum), Post Plaza, Blokhuispoort, Music center the Neushoorn(Rhino), Mata Hari, Oldehove, Harmonie, Het Praamvaren (histoivcal electric boat on small canals), Tresoar (library hisory center) and parks like the Prinsentuin, Rengerspark are within a short walking distance. Also all colleges such as Stenden, NHL, van Hall Larenstein, Water Campus Wetsus are within 15 minutes walking distance.
